This is a great thread. I actually learned some things and others were cleared up for me. For example, the pronunciation of Stygian and Justiciar. Aatxe is just strange, so I constantly have to correct my self and refrain from calling it an Aatax or something. :P

actually, with stygian, if you pronounce it true to latin/greek (or at least my latin professor), the y has a sort of U sound, as in styooogian, with y as a consonant, not vowel.

Yea same for Hermoine, and Chilblains as mentioned before. Oh and now I learned how to say Stygian and Justiciar.

I was teaching a newbie how to play the game and I told him he just have to press the following keys:
(1) Wan
(2) Tu
(3) Tree
(4) Pur
(5) Payb
(6) Seeks
(7) Sivin
(8) Iyt
I can feel the guy was laughing for no reason so I stopped teaching him. Too bad he didnt learn the last two numbers, (9) Nayn and (10) Tin.

Prophecies, can you not read?
Droknar's is that...DROKNAR'S!
I have a pet peeve with ignorance...but more so with stupidity...I pronounce aatxe- axe-te-c(say the letter c) I have no idea why but it stuck with me. Or I just say naggercow (sorry to those that I've offended with that if I did at all, that stuck after my friend kept screaming it on vent >_>)
Tomes not tombs because I don't want burial sites...
Edit: Also using the speech system on windows...Aatxe sounds a lot like Ox except the stressed O sound.
